Richard Key Tshombe

Country Director and Representative, Congo DRC
Richard Tshombe completed his Masters Degree in Social Sciences (Sociology) at Makerere University Kampala. He started his carreer in the DRC Ministry of Environment and Nature Conservation. He worked on an agroforestry project east of Kinshasa and then moved to the Ituri Forest to begin a WCS socio-economic project. Richard managed a WCS Community Conservation Project for 3 years. The Project focus was the participatory zoning of a Protected Area. Richard co-authored an instrumental working paper on linking conservation and development. He is now the WCS Country Director for Democratic Republic of Congo. Richard manages WCS's Democratic Republic of Congo Country Program and coordinates with the WCS Albertine Rift program for joint activities in DRC.

Director Eastern DRC Projects, DR Congo
Deo Kujirakwinja manages WCS's Eastern DR Congo Program with projects in Virunga and Kahuzi Biega national parks and the Itombwe and Misotshi-Kabogo massifs. With an MSC in conservation from the University of Cape Town he is also an ornithologist and specialist in hippo surveys.

Arcel manages the project that is working to gazette the Ngamikka National Park in the Misotshi-Kabogo Massif.
David Aliata

David Aliata has more than seven years hands-on experience deploying innovative communications networks. He has worked on connectivity projects ranging from private companies, international NGOs to ISP backbones. A methodical network troubleshooter, David is particularly adept at identifying connectivity switching and routing issues. David’s expertise includes the design, installation and support of large networks. He currently hold a Bachelors of Computer Science and Engineering(Maseno University-Kenya).
