WCS has just published the results of the most comprehensive assessment of the biodiversity of the Kahuzi Biega National Park . Currently a World Heritage Site in Danger because of the presence of armed groups and insecurity, surveys were made across 61% of the park by dedicated Congolese field teams. Surveys of large and small mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and plants were made and the distribution of the species are mapped across the park. The Report is available for download here (8Mb)
